Michael Kives is co-founder and managing partner of K5 Global, a private investment firm focused on partnering with visionary founders across technology, media, and consumer businesses.

Prior to K5, Michael spent 15 years as an agent at Creative Artists Agency, where he represented a wide range of talent including Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Katy Perry, and Kate Hudson, as well as global leaders Mikhail Gorbachev and Warren Buffett. Earlier in his career, Michael served as an interim spokesperson for President William J. Clinton in his post-presidential Harlem office and worked in Washington, D.C. as an aide to Chief of Staff Huma Abedin in Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s office.

Michael is an advisor to more than 20 startups and innovative companies and serves on the boards of Yahoo, 818 Tequila, Khloud Foods, and Mari Group, the live events business. Through K5, he has been an early investor in companies shaping emerging categories, including SpaceX, Anduril, and HistoSonics.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Distinction from Stanford University.
